iPool Celebrating Its 5th Year

In a mere five years iPool has grown from a start-up to the global market leader for online music promotion. More than 150 companies in over 30 countries put their trust in us and our iPool software every day. This means that over 50,000 media and music professionals across the globe are receiving the latest music releases right on their computers.

We want to thank all of our customers for the trust and loyalty shown over the past five years, and wish them continued success now and in the future with iPool.

New Features to Mark Our 5-Year Anniversary

Just in time for our 5-year anniversary, we’re launching a new version with additional innovative features. Not only do these new features make the software more powerful, they also make it even more user-friendly.

  • Enable Additional Download Attempts:
As needed you can restrict the number of download attempts per track and recipient in advance. In this case, a recipient will be unable to download a track an unlimited number of times, but instead only as often as you specify. Once a recipient has used up all his download attempts for a given track, then it will not be possible to make further downloads of that track until you take further action.
Starting right now you can authorize and enable additional download attempts for specific users and tracks as needed.
  • Administration Log:
Make teamwork even easier. iPool now maintains a record of all changes made by content and system administrators. You will be able to view these changes in the Administration Log. This feature will help you understand and track not only which data your colleagues changed in your iPool, but also when they did it.
  • This new version of iPool also includes numerous improvements to existing features to make your promotional work even more effective and convenient.

iPool in Use by Over 150 Companies Worldwide

Companies that are already using the iPool software include Warner Music Group Germany, edel records Finland, Roadrunner Records International, V2 Records Benelux, the Heavy Metal label Nuclear Blast as well as independent labels, music publishers and music distributors around the globe.

The iPool software is designed and supported by labeltools GmbH, an IT company based in Bremen, Germany that specializes in developing software for the music industry. Already by 2005 the iPool software was a finalist in the „IMEA (Innovation in Music and Entertainment) Awards" at Popkomm, the music industry tradeshow. In addition, iPool was awarded first prize in the StartUp competition organised by McKinsey, Stern, ZDF und Sparkasse.
