(Please note: This page only describes the new features of iPool 3. If you want to see a description of all the features of iPool, click here)
New Features (Highlights):
All File Formats Supported
Make video clips, booklets, press photos, biographies, DJ software files, PDF documents, and much more available online to your media and business partners. In iPool 3, in addition to your audio files, cover images, and meta information you can now also upload, store, and add files to your releases in any other type of format. And exactly as you're already used to with iPool – it's secure and uncomplicated. PDF Info Sheet for Every Release
An info sheet in PDF format is now available to your media and business partners for every release. And the best part: You don't have to lift a finger, because iPool creates the PDF file for each release without any input from you necessary! Improved Feedback Functions
Templates for Your Newsletter Mailings
Create newsletter mailings even more quickly and easily. Now you can easily create e-mail templates and reuse them for future mailings. Import and Export User Data
Easily import existing contact data into your iPool or export data in order to work with these in another program. iPool can export your user data as an Excel or CSV file and import user data as a CSV file. New Meta Data for Releases and Tracks
iPool 3 offers you even more options for storing and managing data on your releases and tracks. For example, you can now also store ISRC codes, copyrights, licensed territories, parental advisory notices, and much more for your releases and tracks. In particular, the new meta data improve direct digital distribution to music download shops and radio stations. ”Reducing” Releases
Free up storage space, quickly and easily. This feature enables you to easily ”reduce” the size of releases in order to free up storage space. This function is useful when you need free storage space for new releases and don't want to completely remove existing releases. When you reduce the size of a release, iPool deletes all of the audio files in the release, making the freed up storage space available for new releases. But the release itself remains in your iPool. A reduced release takes up only a minimum amount of storage space. |
Automated Delivery via FTP
Deliver to your media and business partners quickly, securely, and automatically via FTP (File Transfer Protocol), the open standard for file transmission. This feature turns iPool into an efficient tool for delivering directly to music download shops online – without transferring rights or expensive licensing fees to an aggregator. Simply conclude a direct sales agreement with music download shops and you can deliver to them via FTP in a flash. Delivery to radio stations via FTP is also possible with this uncomplicated procedure. Using FTP, you can also transmit many other files in addition to pure audio files, such as cover images, video clips, and meta data. Our server's multiply redundant, high-speed connection with a breathtaking 62 GBit/s to all of the major internet backbones ensures rapid transmission of your data to any location in the world. Generate Preview Versions Automatically
iPool 3 can create a sample for previewing based on the download version. You can select the quality and length of the sample, which also includes fade-in and fade-out. This turns the strenuous, manual editing and converting of preview versions into a thing of the past. Improved Access List
Define exactly who will receive access to your music in what form. The access lists in iPool 2 already allowed you to determine who is to obtain access to each release. But in addition to that, with iPool 3 you can now set which access rights each user group will have: viewing, previewing, and downloading. For example, you can now adjust the settings so that journalists have all access rights (viewing, previewing, and downloading releases) but DJs can only preview releases. High-Resolution Release Covers
Supply your media and business partners with high-resolution release covers in printable quality. When you upload a release cover, iPool 3 also saves this in the original size. Your media and business partners can instantly download the high-resolution cover version. This enables journalists to obtain printable image material or DJs to print out the artwork for CD holders. Enhanced iPool Watermark Container
Protect your music by watermarking even more easily. We've rebuilt the iPool Watermark Container from the ground up so that it's even easier for you to protect your music using watermarks. For example, we've completely redesigned the graphical user interface, concentrating on the essential elements. Additionally, it's now also possible to use the iPool Watermark Container to read watermarks without having to use the command prompt. Content Sharing
Allow other content administrators to access your assets. iPool 3 offers you the option (if you would like) of also allowing other content administrators (such as your colleagues) to access your assets (releases, tracks, etc.). At the same time, you'll receive access to the assets of other content administrators in your iPool. |
